Returning?!

Well I have not posted for ages. I don't even know if anyone has ever read my blog. But I thought I would post again.

I am still knitting - mostly socks because they are so small and easy to carry around.

Alot has happen in the last year. My youngest is out of high school and started her first year of college. My son (behind the girl) transfered to a different college and is in his junior year. My oldest daughter got engaged this year.

We got to take a family vacation this summer, just the three kids and us, to Aruba. A dream vacation for our family. We had the best time and will always remember the time we had together. It is great when the kids grow up. We all got along together and had a fun time.

Scarf Finished

Today has been a cold rainy day - at least no snow or ice.

I finished up a scarf for my oldest daughter. She wanted something that had silver in it so I came up with this.

Pattern: Just a stitch pattern - more below.
Yarn: Trendsetter Aura color 3211 1 ball
Idena KOS color 074 2 balls
Needle: 10.5 US

This is a close up of the stitch pattern (the best picture I could get). This is just a simple 4 stitch plus 2 pattern stitch. Not sure where I got this but I am sure you can find it on the Internet or many books.

I cast on 14 stitches then the pattern is: K2, *p1, yo, p2tog, k1* repeat between * and * until end of row. I used every yard of the two yarns and just had enough of the KOS to make two pom poms. I just gathered each end and add the pom poms.

Socks Socks Socks

Sorry that I have not blogged for a while, but losing my dog has taken a lot out of me. We are looking at some other dog to get. The house is really empty with out Jenny.

Socks - that is what I like to knit the most. I am working on a pair if socks out of Austermann Step with Aloe Vera. The color number is 06. I love this yarn it is so soft to the fingers! Here is a picture of what I have done so far, I started it last night.

This is the Fluted Bannister stitch pattern. I am using fingering weight yarn not the sport weight yarn in the pattern.

I make this pattern a while back when I was knitting with the 6 six knitalong group. Here is the picture of the socks that I made then.

I'm not sure what yarn I used to make these socks, but it is fingering weight.
This pattern is easy to just sit and knit with out much thinking.
